The money

Can I get my numbers out as a spreadsheet?

Yes: the Export button on the Money screen in FleetDesk, dispatch software for tour operators, downloads two CSV files for the month you are looking at, one of trips and one of expenses, with bare decimal amounts a spreadsheet can add up.

The trips file

One row per booking, with the reference, date, customer, phone, email, status, tour, party size, price, add-ons, total, deposit, whether the deposit and balance were paid, the payment method, the pickup time, the pickup and the drop-off.

Price is the trip price on its own, and add-ons and total sit beside it, so a booking with extras on it cannot be read as though the customer paid only the tour price.

The expenses file

Date, category, amount, method, the booking it belongs to, whether there is a receipt, and the notes, with a total row at the foot.

Where the numbers come from

The same source the screen reads. The file cannot quietly disagree with what you were just looking at, and if a month is large enough to be cut short the file says so in a row of its own rather than simply stopping.

What is not in it

Tax. There is no tax column and no total of tax collected, because nothing in the product computes it.
