Your account

Can I see my trips in Google Calendar?

Yes: Settings, then Connections, gives you a private subscription address, and pasting it into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook puts your confirmed trips from FleetDesk, dispatch software for tour operators, alongside everything else in your week.

Subscribing

  • Google Calendar. Other calendars, then From URL.
  • Apple Calendar. File, then New Calendar Subscription.
  • Outlook. Add calendar, then Subscribe from web.

Calendar apps refresh on their own schedule, so a booking taken in the last hour may take a few hours to appear there. The board and the calendar inside the product are immediate.

It reads, it does not write

Moving something in Google Calendar does not move the booking. The feed carries confirmed and completed trips with the time, the tour, the party, the pickup and the drop-off.

What it leaves out

No prices, no margins and no internal notes. These entries end up on shared family calendars, so the feed is written on the assumption that somebody else will read it.

Treat the address like a password

Anyone holding it can see your trips. If it goes somewhere it should not have, Generate a new link kills the old address immediately; everyone subscribed to it, including you, then subscribes again with the new one.
